- This is a combined/ synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The United States Navy requires tailoring of utility uniforms to support the Navy personnel processed for expeditionary missions for mobilization and individual augmentee assignments. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is PRN6260408BADGE. Uniform insignias and embroidery will be mounted in accordance with NAVPERS 156651. The uniforms issued to each individual consist of four blousers, four trousers and two covers. All quotes should be based on an estimated 6,250 uniforms and 3,125 covers per year. The anticipated period of performance consists of a 12 month base period and two 12 month option periods. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery ? Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with delivery order provisions. The exercise of option years remains the Government?s unilateral right. Necessary tailoring services shall be as described below:
