- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for a quantity of 314 each, USB Cradle (single slot) and 314 each, 9V/2A Power Supply for cradle (including wall outlet charging cable and line cord) compatible with Symbol Technologies Mobile Computer 8800 Series Model # PPT 8800-R3BZ0000. PS6S8800B-U. Preliminary market research has identified the company, Invision, as the only known source to have a commercial USB Cradle (Model# PS6S8800B-U) and power supply (Model# 170182-002) compatible with the Symbol Technologies Mobile Computer Model# PPT 8800-R3BZ0000. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof that their units are compatible with Symbol Technologies Mobile Computer Model# PPT 8800-R3BZ0000. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA.
