- Responses are due no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time January 11, 2008. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ba ltimore District, requests capability statements from 8(a) certified contractors, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB) and HUBZone contractors, with single project bonding capacities of at least $15M, concerning the potential projects describe d below. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Howard Street, Room 8700-FF, Baltimore MD 21201-1715 no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time by the date above. Project Description: In support BRAC 2005, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltim ore District anticipates approximately $90 million in construction of roads, bridges and related improvements at Fort Belvoir, Virginia to be completed in fiscal years 2009 and 2010. Projects at the Engineer Proving Ground (EPG) may include the co nstruction of interior roadways, water, telecommunications and electric utilities within those roadway corridors and related construction of stormwater management/best management practices (SWM/BMP) facilities, lighting, signalization, fencing, gates and l andscaping. The interior roadways are currently under design and may be segregated into separate construction packages. The Main Post transportation improvements include the widening of existing roads, a small bridge and associated utility relocati ons. Phase I may include the widening of Belvoir Road from two to four lanes from Route 1 to 12th Street, and the widening of Goethals Road, Constitution Road and 9th Street from two to four lanes. Phase II may include the widening of Gunston Road from t wo to five lanes from John J. Kingman Road to 12th Street, including the widening of the Gunston Road Bridge over Route 1, and the widening of Pohick Road from two to four lanes from Gunston Road/12th Street to Route 1. Interested 8(a) certified fi rms, SDVOBs and HUBZone certified firms with single project bonding capacities of at least $15M should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience with similar projects to those described above. These statements should include the following information: details of similar projects, dates of construction, project references (including owner at a minimum with phone number and email address), and project cost. Additionally, provide bonding limits for single project as well as aggregate limits. Comments will be shared with the Government and the project design team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. Comments may be in a format as chosen by each offeror, but must include the offerors name, phone number, and email address.
