Description
The Federal Technology Service of the General Services Administration intends to solicit, under full and open competition, the requirement of a perpetual enterprise-wide licenses for the Department of Defense (with an option for the Veteran’s Administration) comprised of the following components: perpetual demonstration and test licensing, perpetual alpha site licensing, and perpetual enterprise (full rate production) licensing for an Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) system to replace the existing Anatomic Pathology and Laboratory module and integrate with the Composite Health Care System II (CHCS II). CHCS II is a clinical information system that will generate, maintain, and provide secure on-line access to a comprehensive, legible and secure health record of preventative care and illnesses, injuries, and exposures treated at military treatment facilities for service members, their families and other beneficiaries of DoD health care. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with one (1) base year and nine (9) option years as a result of this solicitation. Firm-fixed price orders will be placed under this IDIQ contract. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 421430. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to be eligible for award. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released to www.fedbizopps.gov on or around 31 October 2003. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the vendor’s responsibility to monitor the website to look for any amendments/modifications to this posting and/or resultant solicitation.
