Description
The Defense Distribution Center Norfolk, VA (DDNV) has a requirement for total preventive maintenance, repair and system maintenance of the Ammonia Refrigeration Plant located on-site, in Building CEP156. The contractor will be required to maintain and repair the ammonia refrigeration system, ammonia detection, cooking towers and all peripheral equipment associated with the system such as, but not limited to pumps, coils, AHU?s, piping, sub-floor glycol system, etc. Maintenance personnel must be certified to work on Frick Equipment and be Factory Certified Maintenance, Vibration Analysis, alignment and Frick start up and shut down. Additionally, the contractor must be able to maintain PSM/RMP program compliance to include, but not limited to, an on staff Process Safety engineer, on staff Auto Cad Capability to maintain the Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs); an on staff employee qualified in the PHA methodology (formally trained); an operator/mechanic knowledgeable in the system; and engineering staff familiar with the system. Due to the nature of ammonia and its potential to cause harm, the guidelines within the Statement of Work will be strictly adhered to with numerous reports, filed on an hourly, daily, or monthly basis. A Cold Storage Plant Compressor Room Log will be completed hourly.
