Description
SECTION C - STATEMENT OF WORK 1. Contractor is required to have sufficient resources to provide vehicles and drivers to furnish 7 Days per Week/24 HOUR PER DAY Courier Services for pick up and delivery of medical and/or hospital related items to and from the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska, to various locations in and around the metro area for a base period and 4 one year option periods. 2. Courier services will consist of pick up and delivery within the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metropolitan area of medical and/or hospital related items. 3. Courier contractor is to have a dispatch mechanism available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Most calls will be made Monday through Friday during regular business hours in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. 4. All courier service contractor drivers must have a valid Nebraska driver's license. 5. All vehicles are to be insured in accordance with the regulations of the state of Nebraska at the expense of the contractor. 6. Courier contractor must have facsimile equipment or dispatch operators available for immediate dispatch of STAT or Routine calls, as ordered. STAT trips ARE to be completed within 30 minutes of initiated call. ROUTINE trips ARE to be completed within 2 hours of initiated call.
