Description
The Marine Corps System Command (MCSC), Assault Amphibious Vehicle Systems (AAVS) Program Office, is soliciting information from potential sources for technologies that improve or enhance current system design parameters in the areas of Survivability, C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information), and Environment/Habitability of their AAVP7A1 RAM R/S, AAVR7A1 RAM/RS and AAVC7A1 RAM/RS Assault Amphibious Vehicles (AAV). All technologies to be considered must either meet, or be planned to meet within the next 12 months, a minimum Technology Readiness Level of TRL6 as defined in the DoD 5000 series Acquisition Manual. Technologies of interest for survivability include items such as improved armor systems, spall liners, improved fire suppression, blast attenuation/protection seats, , and stabilization of the current turret. C4I technologies of interest include items such as an Integrated Digital Systems Architecture, Local Battlespace Situational Awaren ess (i.e. Day/Thermal Cameras) , Integral Navigation System, and Auxiliary Power/Power Management Systems. Environment/Habitability, technologies of interest include items such as Integrated Environmental Control Unit (ECU), Improved Air Quality, and Noise Reduction in the troop compartment and crew areas. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties are invited to submit the appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references to support an evaluation of their product for consideration in this market research. Responses must include the following: 1) name and address of firm, 2) ownership, indicating whether Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Women owned, HUBzone, and/or Veteran-Owned business, 3) number of years in business, 4) foreign owned or foreign interests, 5) two points of contract including: name, title, phone, fax, and email address. NOTE REGARDING SYNOPSIS: This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and i s not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is NOT a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any other follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The closing date for responses is 31 January 2008. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
