Description
Description United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP), H9222-08-R-0012, FOR Dual-Tube Night Vision goggles (DT-NVG). The DT-NVG shall be a lightweight 1x binocular device that utilizes more than one image intensifier assembly. The device shall provide a system resolution greater than 1.0 cy/mr, have a system Field of View (FOV) greater than 40 degrees, and weigh less than 1.65 lbs. The system, when used with existing SOF helmet mounts, shall be compatible with the Modular Integrated Communications Helmet (MICH) and utilize an image intensifier tube that meets or exceeds the requirements outlined the MX10160-Ground Systems specification. Anticipated delivery is in excess of 200 per month. Interested parties should be Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and not distributors of the system proposed. The proposed contract will be a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a minimum quantity of FIVE (5) and a maximum quantity of TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND (25,000) spread over the 5 year period. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded to multiple awardees and therefore; min/max quantities would be shared among selected vendors. Five (5) Product samples will be required o/a 15 days after issuance of RFP. Written proposals are anticipated o/a 30 days after issuance of RFP. The proposed solicitation shall be full and open competition. Anticipated issue date is 30 November 2007.
