Description

It is the intent of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, Arkansas to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with American Red Cross Blood Services Greater Ozarks Region, P. O. Box 55720, Little Rock, AR 72215 for human blood, blood products and related testing services. A contract for the period 02-01-2008 through 09-30-2008 with a one-year option is anticipated. This notice is not a request for proposals. Interested parties have 5 days from publication of this synopsis to submit in writing their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 5 days or without sufficient information to enable the Government to determine that a firm is qualified and capable to perform contract requirements, will be deemed nonresponsive and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
