- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) is seeking industry comment on the potential development and production of an Increment II update to the OE- 538/BRC Mast Mounted Antenna System used on submarine platforms. This Increment II capability will provide enhanced and additional UHF MUOS/UFO MILSATCOM communications in addition to a new Iridium satellite communications capability. The OE-538/BRC Increment II improvements extend the FORCEnet construct to stealthy undersea Navy platforms with the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of these platforms in achieving the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) SEAPOWER 21 vision. Industry review and comment on the attached draft specifications (posted at SPAWAR E-Commerce website) for each type of UHF MUOS, UHF UFO, and Iridium antenna; system test and integration descriptions, and functional capability test specifications is requested. In particular industry is requested to advise on the adequacy and completeness of this data package and what, if any, additional information is necessary for competitive proposal purposes. Questions/comments may be submitted via email to daniel.knapp@navy.mil or may be submitted via the SPAWAR e- commerce site. Questions/comments are due by 1600 (PST), 31 January 2008.
