Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake CA intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis a firm fixed price contract for geophysical data. Two (2) test holes will be drilled at the Naval Air Facility (NAFEC) El Centro California, each to a depth of 3,000 feet with an option to continue to 4,000 feet, dependent on geological conditions. For these test holes the contractor shall provide geophysical data logs, core samples, cuttings and other technical data retrieved from the geothermal test holes to help determine the nature of subsurface geological and physical conditions and to help characterize the fluids encountered in the test holes. At a second site Hawthorne Army Ammunition Depot (HAAD), Hawthorne Nevada the contractor shall drill two (2) test holes to a depth of 2,500 feet with an option to continue to 4,000 feet, dependent on geological conditions. These test holes will be used by the Navy's Geothermal Program office in its resource-potential investigation. Both sites will contain a provision to cover conditions such as lost circulation, angle deviation, standby time, acts of God, test hole stimulation, geophysical logging, coring and casing perforation. Blow-out prevention equipment will be required at each site. Subcontractors used for logging will be required to submit copies of their Federal and state licenses. The Government reserves the right to issue two contracts, one for each site, if it is in the Governments best interest to do so. A meeting to further describe the requirements will be held in Reno, Nevada on 17 January 2008 at 1:00 P.M. The exact location will be listed in the Request For Proposal (RFP) or you may contract Sue Casey at addresses below. The RFP will be available electronically @ http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://ww.fedbizopps.gov on or about 7 Jan 08. Additional information will be available in the RFP, including a statement of work for each test hole site. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for an award. Question should be address to Sue Casey and must reference N68936-07-R-0004. You may email question to sue.casey@navy.mil or US mail at Commander Code 220000D, Attn Sue Casey, 429 E.
