- Description
- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS) is soliciting for the following services: Specialized technical and professional support services for submarine and surface ship signature silencing programs (primarily acoustics). This shall include (but not be limited to): personnel support for submarine and surface ship signature measurement trials; participation in the development of trial documentation and test plans prior to at-sea periods; the assessment and improvement of current measurement procedures and systems improvement; support for signature trials and special trials and other related studies; the assessment of signature measurement systems; and support for data collection, reduction, analysis, reporting of submarine and surface ship trials data in accordance with established standards; and engineering and technical services for operation, maintenance, repair and logistics support at the facilities listed in the statement of work. The contract's period of performance will include a base period of one year plus four (4), 1-year option periods. This acquisition will be conducted as a full and open competition utilizing the procedures of FAR Part 15. The base period of performance will begin approximately December 2008 at the Southeast Alaska Acoustics Facility, Ketchikan, Alaska. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The solicitation will be issued on or about 01 February 2008. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is acceptable.
