- Description
- The Department of Defense is seeking qualified sources for a Full Rate Production (FRP) contract for the Joint Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Reconnaissance System (JNBCRS) Increment 1. The FRP quantity will be twenty (20) systems. The JNB CRS Increment 1 consists of a base vehicle, Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) detection equipment suite, and command and control suite. The base vehicle consists of a Light Armored Vehicle (LAV), a Life Support Subsystem (LSS), and a Power Supply Su bsystem (PSS). The NBC detection equipment suite consists of sensors that provide point and standoff detection of nuclear, biological and chemical agents, as well as a surface sampler, sample collection subsystem, and marking subsystem that require full i ntegration without degradation to individual sensor performance. The command and control suite consists of a Central Data Processing Unit (CDPU), radios for voice and data communication, a navigation subsystem, and internal intercom. The proposed c ontract effort requires the integration of Government-Furnished NBC Sensors and Communications equipment, and Joint Reconnaissance Applications Software (JRAS) into the Government-Furnished LAV. Interested sources must have the necessary engineering, inte gration, and logistics experience to perform the contract. A production or integration facility is required to perform the effort. Interested sources should submit a capabilities statement detailing their experience in systems integration, engineer ing, and logistics, along with a detailed description of their production or integration facility. Upon review of the capability statements, the Government may request a meeting with the interested companies and a tour of their facility. Please su bmit all information by 25 January 2008, to Elaine Millard, US Army RDECOM Acquisition Center, ATTN: AMSRD-ACC-E/Bldg E-4455, E-5179 Hoadley Road, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010-5401, e-mail: elaine.millard@us.army.mil Questions may be e-mailed to: elaine.millard@us.army.mil
