Description
The government shall be issuing a solicitation on or about January 14, 2008 for a Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract in Ray, Clay, and Jackson Counties in Missouri. This construction project is for PL 84-99 levee repairs on the Egypt Levee and Tr i-County Levee. Work shall consist of re-seeding and mulching on the Egypt Levee and clearing and grubbing, hauling earthen material, surface preparation, placement of earthen material to restore the damaged levee embankment, and seeding of the restored le vee embankment on Tri-County Levee. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard of $31,000,000.00. Packets will be made available through either the FedTEDs website at www.fedteds.gov or at the site visit which is tentatively scheduled for the week of January 21, 2008. The exact date, time, and location will be provided in the solicitation. Please note that to be eligible for award of this project, you must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the CCR website which is www.ccr.gov. Additionally you must complete your Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at the ORCA website which is orca.bpn.gov. Solicitations must be received at the Contracti ng Office by 10:00 AM (local time) on February 13, 2008 in Room 748. Please note that if you are hand delivering your solicitation package, you must enter through security. Any untimeliness due to problems getting past security is at the risk of the vendor . The bid opening room (Room 748) shall not be opened until 9:30 AM. The government is tenatively planning on maintaining a bidders list which will be posted to www.nwk.usace.army.mil/contract/contract.html for this project. This information will be made available to vendors shortly upo n the completion of the site visit. Upon completion of the bid opening, information regarding the lowest bidder shall also be posted to this website.
