Description
This is a Sources Sought Announcement and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers desires to identify vendors capable of providing the following equipment. Marke t Research - System Description - The system shall consist of a traveling trash rake for the collection, removal and handling of coarse solids (i.e. leaves, twigs, branch, etc) that collection in front of a continuous section of bar screens, located at the inlet to a pumping station. The bar screens are 75'+ long by 14'+ high. The rake shall consist of a package component which travels on a monorail, performs automatic or manual raking of each bar screen, transports debris to a designated dump site and un loads debris into waiting dumpsters or dump trucks. Multiple pieces of equipment such as trash rakes combined with conveyors and/or re-handling equipment shall not be allowed. The manufacturer shall design and furnish one monorail traveling gripper rake to perform the cleaning of the bar screens. This will include the monorail, gripper rake, bar screens and all structural supports, controls, wiring and anchor bolts as specified. Market Research - Evaluation Criteria - The equipment manufacturer shall pr ovide the following submittals for review by the government to evaluate whether the proposed trash rake system meets the specified criteria: Manufacturer's Descriptive Data, Technical Product Literature, Catalog Cuts, Installation Instruction, Shop Drawing s. The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this announcement, and if the Go vernment still plans to proceed with the acquisition, solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunity for the respective project. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. All interested offerors will have the opportunity to respond to solicitation announcement at a later time. This notice is to assist the Baltimore District, Corps of Engineers in determining potential sources only. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, n or will the Government pay for information solicited.
