- Amendment 0003 to solicitation is being issued 7 Jan 2008. Closing date is being re-established to read 11 Jan 2008, 5:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time. The 100% Small Business Set-Aside is hereby dissolved and solicitation is revised to read as Unrestricted. Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) intends to procure this item for Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Crane, IN for a Non NSN item, FOB Destination, I & A Destination for a firm fixed price contract, no option. Crane?s approved source of supply is Chemetall Foote Corp, CAGE 07660 (formerly Chemetall Chemical, CAGE 02CA7). Alternate offers must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package to the acquisition specialist for submission to Crane for approval for future procurements to be considered for award. The SAR package will consist of receipt of raw material at Crane, a chemist has to perform chemical analysis, schedule a test production run, then the finished product has to be tested in 2 separate locations ? one at the Crane Army Ammunition Activity facility and the other at a Yuma, Airzona testing facility. If the solicitation and all 3 amendments are not available through this Fed Biz Opps website, a copy may be obtained by contacting the acquisition specialist or Contracting Officer, preferably in writing.
