Description
This is a sources sought synopsis for written information only. The purpose of this notice is to locate qualified business concerns for the U.S. Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Technology Integration Center (TIC). Th is is not a solicitation announcement for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. If a solicitation is issued as a result of this announcement, the Government anticipates that it will be issued for a single award, Firm-Fixed-Pri ce (FFP) type contract, and the requirement will be set-aside totally for small business. Any interested small business source is invited to submit a written qualification statement expressing technical understanding of the requirement including rel evant past performance (previous or current experience for the past five years). The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (i.e. HUB Zone, 8(a), small, disadvantaged, service-disabled ve teran-owned small business, or woman-owned) pertaining to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 511210, Software Publishers. This is a request for information to determine if the commercial software market has a tool that can remotely configure both network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc) and servers. Currently, the Army has the capability to control network and servers via disparate tools. The TIC is seeking a tool that combines these two capabilities. The tool shall have the following features: The tool shall present to the operator all the devices in a network to include the network devices/servers/storage area networks on a single screen. The tool shall allow the operator to remotely capture and resto re network configuration and operating system (OS) images for servers and update the configuration and OS on the captured network devices and servers. The vendor shall provide a capabilities statement listing supported network devices to include the metho d they use to update the devices (Trivial File Transfer Protocol, etc). The list shall also include the operating systems and version that are supported (Windows Server 2003, Fedora Core, etc). The vendor shall provide the information via a web link or pro duct datasheet via email. Capability information shall include: a past performance record including the following information: contract number, customer (DoD agency, other Government agency, private industry); Contracting Officers Technical Represe ntative (COTR) name, telephone and fax numbers; contract value and type of contract; period of performance; and description of product/services. Provide detailed information so the Government can assess the ability of the company to provide the described tool. All of the information sought should be conveyed in no more than 10 pages. Each response must reference the sources sought title. The applicable NAICS code is 511210, and the small business size standard is $23 million. Interested parties must re spond to this sources sought synopsis in writing within 10 business days of publication. All responses must be submitted via email to cynthia.c.soladay@us.army.mil. All data received in response to this announcement marked or designated as corporate or p roprietary information will be protected from release outside the Government in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act provisions. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This is NOT a Request for Quo tation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or an announcement of a solicitation, and no solicitation package exists at this time. The sources sought synopsis is published for informational purposes only. The Government will not p ay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis, and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
