Description
The U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, is soliciting proposals for New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana Hurricane Protection Restoration. This procurement will be a COMPEITIVE 8(a), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with a base year and an option to extend for two additional years. Only Louisiana 8(a) firms serviced by the Louisiana SBA District Office or only those 8(a) participants with an approved bona fide place of busi ness within the established geographic boundary are eligible to submit bids. If there is a question concerning firms eligibility or bona fide place of business rule, contact SBA La District Office 504/589-6685. Multiple awards may be awarded. The ceilin g amount of this MATOC pool is $100 Million. Individual task orders issued under this MATOC will range between $1,000,000.00 - $15,000,000.00. Each individual task order will be competed amongst all awardees. Task Orders may include construction civil work projects in Southern Louisiana, that are expected to include, but not limited to, heavy construction work for levees, floodwalls, pump stations construction or enlargement, roads, floodwalls, culverts & U-Frame canal work, concrete bridge work, earthe n channel enlargement & concrete lining, concrete or stone armoring, foreshore protection, etc. Accomplishment of this mission is anticipated to include, but is not limited to, general construction capabilities via a rapid response program. NAICS: 23799 0, FSC: Y299. RFP will be issued on or about 31 January 2008. Estimated receipt of proposals will be 3 March 2008. Actual dates will be shown when the solicitation is issued. You can also find the link to Fe dTeDS for this solicitation on the New Orleans District web site at www.mvn.usace.army.mil. Click on Contracts and then Procurement Opportunities. Click on the solicitation number and it will send you to FedTeDS. Type in your username and password. A p age will come up and you Accept. The next page will say Solicitation Information, click on file name and begin downloading. Do not click on the paperclip, click on the blue informational line. It may take some time to download the files. Zip files cont aining .cal drawing files should be downloaded and extracted together in a single directory. You will need the adobe acrobat reader for .pdf files (www.adobe.com) and the maxview reader (www.maxview.com) for .cal files in order to open most files posted b y the New Orleans District. You are advised that FedTeDS currently does not have a Plan Holders List capability. However, you are encouraged, for marketing purposes, to register as an Interested Vendor in FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov). This can be done by cli cking on the solicitation title and clicking on the button that says Register as an Interested Vendor and entering your business information. Offerors are also encouraged to post notices of prospective subcontracting opportunities on the Small Business Administrations Subnet, at http://web.sba.gov/subnet.
