Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is soliciting proposals for multiple awards of indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts of childhood vaccines included under the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, pursuant to Section 13631 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 (OBRA '93). CDC anticipates the award of one consolidated contract for each vaccine manufacturer to include all vaccines required by the VFC program, which the manufacturer produces. The solicitation will be issued and awarded in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition for Commercial Items and Services. The applicable VFC vaccines are: Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoid with Acellular Pertussis (DTaP), Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids with Acellular Pertussis Adsorbed, Hepatitis B (Recombinant), and Poliovirus Vaccine Combined (DTaP/Hep B/IPV), Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids with Acellular Pertussis combined with Haemophilus Influenza Type b (DTaP/Hib), Enhanced Inactivated Polio (E-IPV), Hepatitis A (Pediatric), Hepatitis A & B Combination (for Age 18), Hepatitis B (Pediatric/Adolescent), Hepatitis B - 2-dose Regimen (Adolescents 11-15 only), Hepatitis B combined with Haemophilus Influenza Type b (Hep B/Hib), Haemophilus Influenza Type b (Hib), Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV) types 6,11,16 and18 recombinant, Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4), Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Vaccine (MMR), Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMR-V), Pneumococcal Conjugate (7 Valent), Rotavirus, Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoid (Td), Tetanus Toxoid, Reduced Diphtheria Toxoid with Acellular Pertussis Adsorbed (Tdap), and Varicella. Maximum estimated quantities, minimum order sizes, shelf life requirements and applicable price restrictions will be listed in the solicitation. Vaccines shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to the 50 states and U.S. territories. Contracts will be for a twelve month period beginning on or about 04/01/2008. Offerors shall provide evidence of a current FDA establishment license and evidence of current FDA product licenses for all proposed products and shall meet the definition of a manufacturer as stipulated by OBRA '93. CDC will consider all responsible sources responding to this Request for Proposals (RFP). All questions/concerns about the RFP shall be submitted via e-mail chk5@cdc.gov. The complete solicitation package will be available and posted at this site for downloading when issued. No telephone requests of the solicitation will be accepted. No hard copy of the solicitation package will be mailed. It is your responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding the RFP on the Fedbizopps Website.
