Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SCOPE OF WORK, Ft Myer, VA Proposals shall be both written and schematic design indicating proposed solution, generator specifications, and general location relative to quarters, s ound attenuation specifications and visual screening proposals. 1.The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, and services to design and provide back up power generator and electrical service to General Flag Officer s Quarters 2 at Ft Myer, VA. 2.Provide Back-Up power generator capable of providing sufficient electrical service to support all major electrical systems in the facility to include heating and air conditioning, lighting and outlets, and communicatio ns. Natural Gas solution options are to be considered. 3.Remove and properly dispose of existing generator unit(s). 4.Provide electrical/mechanical modifications necessary to support work. 5.Provide enclosures and visual screening of exterior unit and accessories. 6.Provide sound attenuation for exterior units. 7.Secure and provide all necessary permits and inspections. 8.Work inside the quarters at the panel shall be returned to pristine state and meet all buildin g and fire proofing codes. All work inside quarters will be coordinated through the Housing Directorate. 9.Contractor shall load test system upon completion of work. System shall perform to the complete satisfaction of Housing Directorate prior to acceptance. Provide for purchase and delivery of fuel before startup. 10.All work is to be done during normal business hours, except for power change over. Work is to be coordinated with Housing Directorate. 11.Work site is in a secure area . Access to area is to be coordinated with the Housing Directorate. 12.The contractor shall submit to the Government: a.Four (4) sets of 90% design documents to include design drawing and specifications within four weeks of contract award. < BR>b.The contractor shall submit to the Government for (4) sets of 100% design documents to include construction drawings and specifications within two weeks of government responses and changes to 90% design. 13.The construction documentation shall include architectural layout and narratives for other disciplines (structural, civil, electrical and mechanical). The documentation shall provide for a complete and usable facility to meet all required Army, federal, state and local codes and regulations. The documentation shall contain detail statement of work for all required works to include but not limited to: architectural layout (with narratives for floor, ceiling and wall systems), structural modification, lighting, power, communication, heating a nd air conditioning, plumbing and fire protection and suppression.
