- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue a Purchase Order for Fabrication and Installation of New Wheel Rims Troy Lock Gate Valve at the Albany Field Office, Troy, New York for the following: 1. Preparation of existi ng valve wheels: Worn stainless steel wheel rims shall be removed from six (6) stainless steel valve wheels. Following removal of the old rims, the surface of the valve wheels shall be cleaned and finished to accept the installation of new wheel rims. E xisting wheels are 14.000+ inches in diameter. 2. Fabrication and Installation of new wheel rims: Six new stainless wheel rims shall be fabricated in accordance with the attached drawings. The new wheel rims shall be fabricated so as to allow for a press fit to the existing finished wheels. The entire circumference of the interfaces (both sides) of the wheels and rims shall be welded following installation of the new rim. 3. Required Delivery Date: 45 days from date of award. 4. Pick-up a nd Delivery: The existing wheels shall be picked up at the USACE Albany Field Office, 1 Bond Street, Troy, and N.Y.12180 upon award and delivered back to the Albany Field Office following completion of work. Arrangements for shipping wheels at the bidders expense may be made by contacting the POC below. Bidders may also contact the POC below to arrange a site visit to inspect the wheels prior to bidding. 5. Payment: Contract bid price shall include all costs associated with the removal of the worn r ims from six (6) existing wheels, preparation of the existing wheel surface to accept the new wheel rims, fabrication and installation of six new rims in accordance with the attached drawings, and transportation costs associated with pick-up and return of the wheels/rims. Payment will be made within 30 days after delivery, acceptance and receipt of a proper invoice. 6. POC at USACE Albany Field Office: Tim Rafter or William Petronis (518) 273-0870. The applicable NAICS CODE IS 332710 with 500 Employees. The SIC CODE is 3599. The estimated cost range for this project is between $10,000 - $15,000.
