Description
This is a sources sought notice RFI (Request for Information) VA-242-08-RI-0102 only, not a request for quotes/proposals and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. A solicitation is not available and will not receive a response if requested. The market research does not constitute an invitation for bid or request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The government will not reimburse firms for any cost incurred for their participation as an interested party. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to identify potential Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB, and other small business sources that can provide the necessary supplies and equipment for the St. Albans Medical Center located at 179 St. & Linden Blvd., St. Albans, NY 11425. The notice will be used to obtain responses in order to make appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the type of procurement to be used and the potential of qualified vendors interested and capable of performing the work as follows: 1. Clean and disinfect two (2) steel domestic water house tanks, on an annual basis in accordance with requirements of Article 141 of the New York City Code. Vendor needs to provide appropriate documentation such as certificates for cleaning and disinfection. Site personnel need to be available for lock out assistance, operate equipment as necessary and briefing for any special site safety procedures. St. Albans Engineering personnel are responsible to drain the water tank prior to the arrival of the work crew and to refill the tank at the completion of the required task. As required by the New York City Health Code, perform annual inspection with cleaning and disinfection, if necessary. Environmental Hygiene Services is permitted to perform this work under the city of New York Permit No. H20 1101471 WCN. Appropriate protective equipment and safety precautions will be used in performing all required tasks. Period of performance is date of award and 4 option years. All eligible SDVOSB, VOSB, & other small business firms responding to this sources sought notice must ensure their response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Vendor shall provide documentation of technical expertise for the Government to determine that the company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) duns number (f) cage code (g) tax id number (h) type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business, 8(a), HubZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business HubZone Business and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the required tasks. All responses must be submitted by email to Gregory.Vogt@va.gov; no other method of transmittal will be accepted. All capability statements and questions must be received by Feb 1, 2008. Telephonic requests will not be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220, and the Small Business Size Standard is $13.0. All interested parties shall ensure current registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (www.ccr.gov), VETS 100 registration system and if SDVOSB or VOSB, www.vip.VetBiz.gov in order to receive an award.
