- The United States Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a request for quote to award a firm-fixed price contract for approx. 7 months (base year), plus 2-option-years for refuse collection at The US Army, Corps of Engineers Pomona Lake Project, l ocated near Vassar, KS. The location and frequency of services will be on a fixed, daily schedule that is based on seasonal demand. The contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, fuel, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provid e refuse collection and disposal for this Federal Property. The contractor shall provide, empty, service and maintain approximately 11 receptacles (dumpsters) throughout the property. This includes seven (7) 4 cu yd and four (4) smaller 2 cu yd dumpsters. For the three holidays, at no additional cost to the Government, place two (2) additional 4 cu yd dumpsters at the Michigan Valley and Wolf Creek Parks and one (1) additional 4 cu yd dumpster at Outlet Park and Adams Grove camping area. Refuse from the receptacles and dumpsters shall be transported to, and disposed of by the contractor at a State licensed landfill located off of the government property. All costs with this work shall be borne by the contractor. The North American Industrial Classificatio n System (NAICS) code for this project is 562111, Solid Waste Collection, and the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 4212. The Small Business size standard is $11.5 Million. This solicitation is unrestricted. Quotes will be accepted from all interested resp onsible and responsive parties. Quotes are tentatively due on 3 March 2008. See the solicitation, when posted, for details. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. The solicitation will be made available on or about 30 January 2008 through 3 March 2 008.
