Description

Description The work of this project consists of the manufacture and delivery of red lava cinders for the purpose of chip seal construction. The chips shall be #4 -1/2" red/maroon in color hardness factor - 35% or less, (approximately 2,000 tons) and lava cinder chips ?" - 3/8" red in color (approximately 1,100 tons). The proposed material source shall be inspected and approved by NPS personnel prior to the production of any material. Delivery shall be to 5 or 6 areas which will be delineated on the ground along routes 10 and 11. Delivery is expected to start as early as March and be competed by May 2008. This solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about January 30, 2008. Solicitation Number N1590080001. Cinders will be in accordance with the scope of work, and delivered to the sites specified. This acquisition falls under NAICS code 237110, with the small business standard of $31.0 million. This is a Best Value procurement and will use a comparative evaluation of proposals based on price, past performance and technical qualifications. It is mandatory that all contractors register in the Central Contractor Registration database (www.ccr.gov) prior to award. Responses from offerors will be accepted at the address listed in the solicitation in hard copy until the due date and time specified in the Solicitation, with the manual signature of the authorized company official.
