- Description
- Arcata Associates, Inc.(Arcata/UNITeS); in support of the United NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS) Prime Contract, intends to negotiate only, on a sole source basis, with The MathWorks, Inc. to acquire software license reinstatement rights and annual maintenance support on various MathWorks software products. Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation as proposals are being requested per the attached Request for Quote (RFQ), which is located in the attached Word file, along with an Offeror Representations & Certifications (Certs), and Terms and Conditions (T&C?s) Parts I and II, all of which are deemed to be in the solicitation package. Interested firms have until 03 February 2008, 4:00PM CDST to submit in writing to the identified point of contact a response to the RFQ and all associated paper work per the instructions. Responses received after the 03 February 2008, cutoff without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by Arcata/UNITeS to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Arcata Associates, Inc. This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet the accessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29 U.S.C. 7941). Further guidance on accessibility can be found in FAR Part 39.2 or at the GSA website http://www.section508.gov/ . Specific Line Items No. 1 through 16 must meet accessibility standards as published by the Architecture and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards (36 CFR Part 1194) Subpart B, Technical Standards 1194.21 Software Applications and Operating Systems. This requirement is for software products. When responding to this combined synopsis/solicitation you are required to inform this office whether or not the products offered in response to this solicitation meet the Technical Standards of 1194.21 for the specific line items cited above. Please provide documentation such as your voluntary compliance template or other information that addresses how your company meets the identified Technical Standards. If this information is maintained online, you may provide a link or the URL address where the information can be viewed.
