Description
The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) Acquisition Center in Orlando, FL has a requirement to award an omnibus contract vehicle to assist PEO STRI and its customers in satisfying mission require ments. The omnibus contract to be awarded, known as STOC II (PEO STRI Omnibus Contract II), will be a set of multiple-award Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to provide simulation, training and instrumentation products and services for the warfighter, beginning with concept development and continuing throughout life cycle support. The objectives of this acquisition include but are not limited to: 1) facilitate the leveraging of programs and technology (to include Joint and/or Joint -related) in the best interests of the U.S. Army and Department of Defense; 2) prepare the warfighter to meet the challenges of the future Joint operational environment; and 3) support continued growth in the interoperability of Live, Virtual, Constructive and Testing solutions to enhance training and testing capabilities of the warfighter. The period of performance of STOC II will include a base ordering period of three (3) years, followed by a two (2) year option ordering period (Option 1), a three (3)ye ar option ordering period (Option 2) and a two (2) year option ordering period (Option 3), resulting in a potential ordering period of 10 years. The estimated ceiling of this multiple-award IDIQ contract is $11,000,000,000. The STOC II competition w ill consist of a full & open competition along with a partial small business set-aside. Release of the formal Request for Proposal is anticipated in early-mid February 2008. The anticipated award date is September 2008. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by PEO STRI in response to this synopsis.
