- This requirement is for a Powder Coating System (PCS) for Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), Tobyhanna, PA. The PCS shall consist of a conveyor, oven, and powder coating booth and shall be provided as a fully integrated turn-key system, complete with inst allation, acceptance testing, training, documentation, and one-year full system warranty (parts and labor) by the contractor. The specification includes performance characteristics and Brand Name or Equal (Nordson Vantage RCM 8000 8 x 15 Powder Booth Sy stem) salient characteristics. The largest part size which the PCS must handle is 2 feet wide x 5 feet high x 2 feet long. Overhead conveyor will be sized to handle a part of 60 pounds maximum weight and a size of 24 inches wide x 60 inches high x 24 inc hes long at a speed of 5 feet per minute and variable speed from 3-12 feet per minute. Cure Oven shall be continuous natural gas fired, designed for 450 degree Fahrenheit, maximum, and shall have an infrared (IR) pre-heat section. Site visit is required and dates of availability will be ser forth in the solicitation. The PCS must comply with the most recent versions of all local, state, and federal OSHA, NFPA, ACGIH Industrial Ventilation Standards, and Environmental standards and regulations. Delivery s hall be Fob Destination, TYAD. The system shall be delivered and installed at TYAD within 22 weeks of contract award. NAICS is 333999, 500 employees. Solicitation number W2 5G1V-08-R-0004 applies. This solicitation, including specifications and drawing s will be issued electronically only. Any amendments will also be issued electronically only. No paper or disk will be available. Issue is in accordance with FAR Part 12 for the acquisition of commercial items and services. Failure to obtain amendment s and/or acknowledge amendments by the time set for bid opening may result in rejection of your bid. Due to the use of electronic solicitation, the Government is unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Bidders are encouraged to register as a potential source for this solicitation (see top of screen for POTENTIAL SOURCES) and to view the registered firms under the Potential Sources logo on the internet site. Bidders are further notified that bids must be submitted in HARD COPY ONLY. ELECTRONIC BIDS WI LL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated issue/opening dates are 06 FEB 2008 and 26 FEB 2008.
