- Description
- The Portland District Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Pearl Harbor Maintenance Dredging 2008, Mouth of Halawa Stream. The work area is located within the Pearl Harbor US Naval waterway and facilities on the islan d of Oahu, Hawaii. Channel maintenance dredging shall be performed at the mouth of Halawa Stream adjacent to the U.S. Arizona Ferry Dock. All dredged material shall be placed within the Government furnished upland disposal site located at Waipio Point (app rox. 2.75 miles southeast of the dredge area). All work shall be accomplished by mechanical means; bucket (clamshell) and flat deck barges and attendant plant. Measurement and payment shall be based on an hourly rental rate. A Site Safety and Health Office r (SSHO) shall be provided for all new contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. The person that will act as the SSHO for this project is required to have a minimum of 3 years safety work with similar projects and a 30 Hour OSHA c onstruction safety class (or equivalent) taken within the last 3 years. The SSHO may have other duties for this work that include being the on-site CQC Manager. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns; the Magnitude of Constructi on is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation will be posted electronically on FedTeDS (www.fedteds.gov) on or about February 6, 2008, with proposals due 30 days after issuance.
