- Description
- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to The Eppley Laboratory, Inc., Newport, RI. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) only one responsibl e source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Requirement is for Precision Spectral. Pyranometer (model PSP), and Infrared Radiometer (model PIR) systems. The Eppley Laboratory, Inc. is the only source that can provide thes e systems. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 11:00 am Central Tim e Zone on 24-Jan-2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
