- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award to Florida International University in Miami, FL for Computational Support for Lattice Boltzmann Measurement of Borehole-Scale Hydraulic conductivity and Macroporosity of Biscayne Aquifer Materials to be delivered to Ft. Lauderdale, FL by 31 Dec 08. Florida International University is the only known source who possesses the technical expertise in the application of Lattice Boltzmann methods to karst limestone. In addition, this effort is a follow on to results discovered during the basic study in the area of Lattice Boltzmann modeling and therefore, FIU is uniquely qualified to continue the study under this program. This requirement is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Other interested concerns having the ability to furnish this effort shall submit a capabilities statement to the Contract Specialist no later than the closing date of this announcement.
