- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR HOTEL AND CONFERENCE FACILITIES FOR SPACE FLIGHT AWARENESS EVENTS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to (1) extend the response due date and (2) address the Answers in response to Questions from prospective offerors regarding this Combined Synopsis: The due date for receipt of offers is extended to January 29, 2008 @ 3:00 PM CST. Responses to Space Flight Awareness (SFA) Questions: Question 1: Has the SFA NASA procurement been awarded? Have had a few hoteliers contact me to question if the procurement has been awarded to a third party? We are all a little confused, as a few third parties have contacted us informing us that they are representing this program. Answer 1: Solicitation NNJ08231499Q has not been awarded, and will not be awarded until after the bid deadline in the text of the Solicitation. While third parties are welcome to submit an offer in response to this Solicitation, we have not awarded the contract to a third party nor are any third parties representing NASA in relation to this solicitation. Please forward all questions related to this solicitation to the JSC procurement points of contact, Kirby Condron and Jessica Miller. Question 2: I have a question about the Standard Form 1449. Do we need to use this as it seems like this is the order that would come back from NASA? Answer 2: Standard Form 1449 is found in the text of the Solicitation in the following paragraph: Offerors are encouraged to use the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items form found at URL: http://server-mpo.arc.nasa.gov/Services/NEFS/NEFSHome.tml After review of the data we are requiring with your response we have removed the requirement for submission of a SF 1449 with your offer. Question 3: In the paragraph beginning with the NAICS Code, I am to state my "size status". What is this? Answer 3: The Solicitation states the following, ?The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 721110 and $6.5M, respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement.? To calculate your firm?s SBA size standard based on your annual average receipts and average employment, please refer to 13 CFR 121.104 and 121.106. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on December 21, 2007.
