- Description
- Junction Creek Phase II Mechanical Fuels Project. Thin and remove vegetation on 191 acres on National Forest Service Land. Conventional logging equipment would be used to thin ponderosa pine, thereby reducing the fuel loading, increasing the distance between tree crowns, and creating a more natural, clumpy structure. Estimated volume is 542 CCF. Approximately 1 mile of temporary road will need to be reopened or built, and 3.9 miles of system road will have to be reconstructed to remove designated products from the project area. The solicitation for this project will only be made available through the Federal Business Opportunities website - www.fbo.gov. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns.
