Description

AMENDMENT 1 TO Q5140080043 - Title should have said furnish split rails, not necessarily poplar. In response to questions regarding this Request for Quote, the National Park Service is issuing the following clarifications: DELIVERY - The Vendor may choose to deliver the rail products in increments or partial deliveries in order to facilitate production and costs or capabilities over a period of time not to exceed thirty (30) days beginning with May 30, 2008. The contractor shall provide no less than three (3) business days notice before a delivery of the rail product to the government installation specified (contact names and numbers will be given upon award). Notification will facilitate the government's ability to unload and have storage area prepared for the product as well as assuring personnel are available on site to unload the product. The delivery size or number of products should be kept to a number or quantity that can reasonably be unloaded at the government facility during a normal business day. Government facilities business hours are from 7:00AM until 4:30 PM, NO DELIVERY will be allowed after 4:30 pm. WOOD PROTECTION & SPECIES - Rails may be a preserved product that meets ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) industry standards or we would accept non-preserved wood American Chestnut or Black Locust. Due date for quotes remains the same - February 7, 2008. End of Amendment.
