- Amendment 0001 is hereby issued to change the solicitation type from a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to a Request for Proposal (RFP) and to extend the offer due date through February 29, 2008 / 12:00 PM. The RFP document is now posted as solicitation number EA1350-08-RQ-0143 Amendment 0001. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number EA1350-08-RQ-0143 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23. The U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration requires the following five items in support of a training forum to be held in Alexandria, VA for the period of Saturday, July 12, 2008 through Friday, July 18, 2008: Item 0001: Sleeping rooms - 15 each on Saturday, July 12, 2008, 80 each on Sunday, July 13, 2008, 80 each on Monday, July 14, 2008, 80 each on Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 80 each on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, 80 each on Thursday, July 17, 2008 and 30 each on Friday, July 18, 2008 for a total of 459 sleeping rooms Item 0002: Meeting rooms - Saturday, July 12, 2008: 2 each breakout type rooms to accommodate 10 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm, 1 each breakout type room to accommodate 20 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm and a registration area for the period of 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Sunday, July 13, 2008: 1 each ballroom foyer type area to accommodate 125 people for the periods of 7:00 am to 8:30 am, 10:15 am to 10:45am and 2:45 pm to 3:00 pm, 1 each ballroom type room to accommodate 125 people for the period of 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 2 each breakout type rooms to accommodate 10 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm, 3 each breakout type rooms to accommodate 20 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm, 1 each breakout type room to accommodate 30 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm, 1 each breakout type room to accommodate 35 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm, 1 each breakout type room to accommodate 55 people for the period of 8:00 am to 11:45 pm, and 1 each office type room to accommodate 8 people. Item 0003: Catering - Monday, July 14, 2008 there is to be a morning snack, mid-morning break, and afternoon break with one hour of service each for 125 people consisting of light refreshments. Tuesday, July 15, 2008 there is to be a morning snack, mid-morning break, and afternoon break with one hour of service each for 125 people consisting of light refreshments and there is to be an additional evening break with a two hour service for 125 people consisting of light refreshments such as dips, salsa and mix nuts. Wednesday, July 16, 2008 there is to be a morning snack, mid-morning break, and afternoon break with one hour of service each for 125 people consisting of light refreshments and an evening break with a one hour service consisting of a cheese board for 100 people, a fresh fruit display for 100 people and hot hors d?oeuvres for 175 people. Thursday, July 17, 2008 there is to be a morning snack, mid-morning break, and afternoon break with one hour of service each for 150 people consisting of light refreshments and a lunch buffet for 150 people.
