- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia (VAMC Salem) is seeking potential sources for after hours emergency CT Scan reading by Teleradiology for VAMC Salem Imaging Service. The contracted radiologists shall be ACR board certified or board eligible and be located within the United States and whose company is JCAHO approved. The contractor personnel shall have the ability to read and interpret images from the computer/ PACS system monitors and provide licensed and VETPRO credentialed Radiologists. The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment and personnel to perform Teleradiology Services. The contractor will have no access to Salem VAMC's computer system. The contractor will be required to provide physician interpretation by a preliminary faxed report within one hour after transmission of images to the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for submitting a final report via fax to the Imaging Department within 24 hours of examination if the scan is of a critical test value or abnormal. The contractor must be capable of meeting VHA's National Performance Standard which requires a verified radiology report within 48 hours of the registration date/time of the procedure. Coverage is required Monday through Thursday 4:30 P.M. through 8:00 A.M. next working day and on Friday at 4:30 P.M. continually through Saturday, Sunday and until 8:00 A.M. Monday morning. Coverage must be provided on all federal holidays for 24 hours, to include coverage in the absence of any of the other providers due to sick leave, family leave or other personal emergency. Cost basis/reimbursement will be by Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes. Estimated annual number of procedures is 20,000. The NAICS code for this requirement is 621512. Size Standard is $12.5M. This is a sources sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company/provider, number of radiologists employed by firm; business size (large or small); identify whether or not firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned; firms experience in providing Teleradiology diagnostic imaging services. Information on Teleradiology diagnostic imaging services for current and/or previously preformed for the VA Medical Center and/or other government entities to include contract numbers estimated annual number of procedures and coverage provided per week. Any other pertinent information which demonstrates firm's ability to meet the above requirement.
