Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to award a single contract for HVAC Chiller Maintenance at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) located at 4801 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64128. The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, factory authorized parts and tools necessary for a tear down and perform a factory overhaul for two (2) Carrier Screw Chillers model 23Xl212EC60, Serial 2395J50801 located in building 26 Mechanical Room and Carrier Screw Chiller model 23XL1010NC20, Serial 5093J47932 located in building 1 Mechanical Room at the Kansas City VAMC, Kansas City, Missouri. The Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services specified in this contract. The majority of work will be accomplished during normal working hours. Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. There will be only one pre-award site visit scheduled for this project held at the Kansas City VAMC. Contractor will meet for the site visit at Bldg. 6 (Engineering Office) at 9:00 a.m. CST on February 12, 2008. Interested offerors should attend this meeting to look inspect the work site and obtain information on the project before submitting a proposal. This work has been set aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238220. The Standard Industrial Classification is 1711. The small business size standard is $13 Million. FBO Note 1 is applicable to this notice. The solicitation notice is expected to be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities www.fbo.gov website on or after February 1, 2008.
