Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This Special Notice is for the purpose of announcing an Industry Day will be held on Tuesday, 12 February 2008 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm CST at Evans Auditorium, Bldg 1396 (at the corner of Garden Road and Hardee R oad), Ft Sam Houston, TX for a Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) Storage requirement. All responsible sources, including small businesses, are invited to participate in the Industry Day. The U.S. Army Contracting Agency (ACA), Southern Region Contracting Ce nter-West (SRCC-W) is conducting market research and desires input from industry to assist in requirements planning. The method of acquisition will be determined based upon the information received. Please note: The Army will not be responsible for any c osts incurred by interested parties in attending or preparing any information for the Industry Day. The Installation Management Command (IMCOM) is interested in the identification of capable sources to provide POV enclosed storage services at contractor fa cilities near designated locations. The contractor is responsible for POV in-processing, storage, security, maintenance, out-processing and liability claims. POV Vehicle Processing Centers (VPCs), which include in-processing and out-processing of POVs, w ill not exceed a 15-mile radius of each designated Power Projection Platform (P3) or Quality of Life (QoL) site throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) to include Alaska and Hawaii. The distance between the physical storage site and the contracto rs VPC is unrestricted, but the Contractor must be able to meet the POV delivery and out-processing time as requested by the individual Installation Transportation Officer (ITO) of each assigned P3 or Qol site. Storage is authorized in connection with co ntingencies and deployments of U.S. Army service members. The ITO for each P3 or QoL site will coordinate with service members and contractors for in-processing and out-processing of POVs. The Government encourages interested parties to review the draft Pe rformance Work Statement, which will be posted on or about January 28, 2008 and to submit written comments/questions. The Government requests questions/comments and RSVPs (POC information for interested attendees must include name of attendees, name of co mpany, telephone number, and email address) be submitted via email to kenneth.r.marsh@us.army.mil and raineye.holmes@us.army.mil with a subject line of POV INDUSTRY DAY by 3:00 PM CST, 4 February 2007. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All quest ions/comments/RSVPs must be submitted via email to the POCs listed above. THIS IS AN INDUSTRY DAY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS.
