Description

The Army Contracting Agency, Northern Region; Dugway Proving Ground, Utah Directorate of Contracting (hereinafter referred to as the Government) is seeking potential contractors that have the capability to undertake future renovation activities at th e West Desert Test Center's old Baker laboratory. This is not a request for proposals. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the requirement, interested contractors shall present the following information: (1) licensed and bonded in the state of Utah for projects greater than $10 Million in estimated value; (2) experience regarding previous construction projects of a similar nature, to include construction of university research labs, other biological facilities, etc.; (3) information on qualifications, licensing and certifications for key personnel, both primary and all sub-contractors. (i.e. electrical, mechanical, etc.); (4) experience installing and balancing Phoenix Controllers and the associated controls and are fa ctory certified to work on these systems; (5) experience installing bio-safety cabinets and laboratory casework; (6) experience in application of seam welded sheet flooring, high-build glaze coatings (epoxy flooring and wall finishes) that are typically us ed in biological laboratories; (7) experience in purchasing and installing autoclaves (Primus Model 2076 large steam sterilizers pit mounted and Model 2075 medium steam sterilizers or approved equivalent); and (8) experience with high pressure steam (great er than 15 psig) systems. To assist in determining the acquisition approach for a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) document to be issued at a later date, interested contractors are requested to state their socio-economic classification(s) (e.g., large bu siness, small business, small disadvantaged business, etc.) as it relates to North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 236220 (small business size standard is $31 million). Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. Responses should provide the pertinent details, experience, and current capabilities related to the stated requirement so Government personnel can assess the ability of the company to contribute to the above stated program. Interested sources are also encouraged to submi t product literature in response to this Request for Information (RFI). Any submission of such product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in respons e to any resulting future formal RFP. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided a nd will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments.
