- Description
- This sources-sought synopsis is issued in anticipation of a potential future procurement program for a Dual Display Unit. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) is conducting market research to identify potential sources of suppliers that could provide replacement for the current IP-1533 CRT based unit. Any potential replacement unit must meet Grade A, Type I shock tests per MIL-S-901D, vibration tests per MIL-STD-167-1, power tests per MIL-STD-1399, and EMI test per MIL-STD-461E. The display unit must be 100% compatible with existing equipments/systems aboard US Navy ships. It is anticipated that 220 units (Base Year: 80 units, Option Year One: 80 units, and Option Year Two: 60 units) may be procured within the three year period, with the total quantity to be delivered FOB destination. The quantity of units is subject to change. Prospective firms are encouraged to submit a capability summary that does not exceed five (5) pages in length describing their Dual Display Units and firm's recent relevant business experience and their approach in meeting the requirements stated above. Responses should include: (a) The name and address of the contractor and where such Dual Display Units would be built; (b) Point of contact including name, title, phone, and email addresses; (c) A description of product currently offered by the contractor that meet, or with minor modifications might meet, the above listed requirements. All offered product characteristics should be identified for chart comparison to the requirements listed above. If above requirements cannot be met, identify what is achievable with minor modifications; (d) An estimated unit price, (e) A notional schedule for manufacturing and on-site delivery of the display units, and (f) Whether the business is currently classified as a Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a) and/or Woman Owned company, Hub Zone small business, veteran owned small business, or servi ce disabled veteran owned small business.
