- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico MCB, Virginia intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Choctaw Manufacturing & Development Corp. located at 203 Choctaw Industrial Drive, Hugo, OK 74743, for the procurement of the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) Trailers, which will replace the M015 cargo trailer, M149 water tank trailer, and M353 utility trailer. The MTVR trailers will augment and complement the capability of the currently fielded MTVR truck over its mission profile of 70% off-road and 30% on-road. The MTVR trailers will transport ammunition, break-bulk, engineer equipment, generators, air compressors, welders, communication equipment, and potentially dimensionally standard containers. In addition, the MTVR trailers will deliver and dispense water at the unit level. The current acquisition objective is a procurement of up to 6,615 trailers. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Negotiation being conducted usin g other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 19.800. The proposed contract action is for equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 19.808-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of request for quotation. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. Marine Co rps Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract ninety (90) business days after publication of this notice.
