- Description
- Western Area Power Administration, Rocky Mountain Region (Western) has a requirement for annual training services in the safe felling, trimming and bucking of trees, including but not limited to safe operation of chippers and chainsaws and accident prevention. Training will include classroom and field exercises/demonstrations. Western will furnish equipment for training purposes, e.g., chainsaws and climbing equipment. Term of contract is anticipated to be one base year and four option years, one training course per year on a rotating basis at 3 locations in Wyoming and Colorado. Training will be held on the dates specified in the contract Schedule. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 611519 or 611699 and the applicable size standard is $6.5 million. The solicitation (Request for Quotes/RFQ) will be issued electronically on or about January 30, 2008. Quotes may be mailed, emailed or submitted electronically as indicated in the RFQ. Quotes will be evaluated based upon the criteria stated in the RFQ. Contractor must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be considered for award. Contractors may register at www.ccr.gov. DUNS number is required for CCR registration. Proposals are due by 5:00 PM Central Time on Wednesday, February 20, 2008.
