- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions submitted from interested sources: 1. Is it appropriate to provide a classified response? If so, is there any special address and form that would be preferred? Some of that data is already available to the Army because of our prior test experience; would it be possible to reference the data instead? A classified response is acceptable. If they know the army has the information they can reference the report it is derived from. If not, the data can be mailed. The intensity-time curves need to be included with the information on how the flare was measured. It should include the type of equipment, IR bands used, test conditions - static and/or dynamic (either windstream or from an aircraft or other test facility). Classified Mailing address: US Army ARDEC ATTN: AMSRD-AAR-AEE-W Picatinny, NJ 07806-5000 Inner envelope: Pass to Robert Ritchie, Bldg 472 2. Could you please clarify for me what is meant by the visible requirement "measured with a photocell with an f1 of 3.00 or less"? I make visible measurements routinely, but I'm not sure what an f1 of 3.00 or less means. This has to do with spectral mismatch between the photopic filter and the ideal photopic spectral response. Good photpic filters have a mismatch of less than 5%.
