- Description
- The U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Life Cycle Management Command (JM & L LCMC), Acquisition Center in support of the Armament, Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) intends to solicit, negotiate and award on a sole source basis to ARES, Inc. The intent of this study is to adapt ARES current Eagle Air Defense system to incorporate the EAPS gun, fire control, and feed systems and to integrate the turret onto a Stryker vehicle. The study shall assess the capability of the entire system being transported by a C-130 aircraft. Since ARES has sole proprietary rights over the Eagle Air Defense system, the integration of that design can only be done by ARES themselves. A formal written solicitation is not planned. Points of contact for this requirement are Mr. Jeremy Phillips, Contract Specialist, jeremy.phillips6@us.army.mil, and Katherine Conklin, Contracting Officer, katherine.conklin@us.army.mil, AMSML-AQ-JA, Bldg. 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. NOTE NUMBER 22 APPLIES: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
