Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. This is a Navy requirement for Motorola repeaters, radios and components to be purchased on a brand-name only basis. The Government intends to buy a minimum of $1,000,000 and a maximum of $11,500,000 of the Motorola components such as the Quantar station repeaters C99ED, the XTL 5000 radio, the XTS 5000 radio, the XTS2500 radio and other radio components. Brand name only components will be identified in the solicitation as eight different line items. Award of a firm fixed-price, five year Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract is anticipated. Delivery for the minimum quantity will be required 60 days after award of delivery order, and shall be F.O.B. Destination. The delivery location for the radios and components is Crane, Indiana. Final inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. The contract will be awarded on the basis of best value in accordance with the criteria stated in the solicitation. The offeror will be required to submit past performance and a price proposal. To be eligible for award, the contractors must be properly registered in the Government?s Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information of CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via internet www.ccr.gov. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility o f interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 15 February on the NSWC Crane website at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/synopcom.htm; no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
