- The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) plans to procure the ?brand name? IBM P520Q server used by Order Entry Management Systems (OEMS)to produce hard copy orders for patent and trademark documents. OEMS was originally designed using the IBM InfoPrint Manager solution, which interacts several customized OEMS application software modules and multiple IBM high-speed printers. The solution provides the maximum utilization of the equipment and increases efficiency by reducing processing time to fulfill the customers orders. Replacing the existing solution with different hardware and software will require a complete re-design of the system, which is time-consuming and not cost effective.
