- Description
- The VA is seeking a provider/facility for Radiation Oncology Services in the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area. The VA will refer patients to the Contractor for consultation to determine the appropriateness of radiation therapy. If appropriate, the Contractor will develop a proposed treatment plan and provide treatment to patients. The patients referred will be those patients requiring a level of care not available at the VA. The Contractor facility must be JCAHO accredited and located within the catchments area of the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care Services which includes the Phoenix metropolitan area, Payson, AZ, Show Low, AZ and Globe, AZ. The Physicians providing services must be licensed and board certified in radiation therapy or a related field. The Contractor must process all licenses necessary to provide these services and undergo a background investigation. The history of demand for these services between 10/01/06 and 09/30/07 (FY07) was: Total Number of Patient Consults -325, Total Patients Receiving Treatments - 103, Total Number of Treatments - 103. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business or Veteran-Owned Small Business under PL 109-461 who may be able to provide these services. NAICS Code 621999, Size Standard $9Million. Solicitation will be issued on or about February 15, 2008. Only electronic copies of the solicitation will be made available.
