Description

The principal objective of the work consists of road maintenance services (blading, shaping, watering and compacting, supply and spreading of gravel) on approximately 26.1 miles of roads owned by the Bureau of Reclamation around the Canyon Ferry Reservoir. The north end of the reservoir is located approximately 17 miles east of Helena, MT in Lewis and Clark County. The south end of the reservoir is located approximately 1 mile north of Townsend, Montana in Broadwater County. The estimated price range of the work is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity service requirement. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available on February 12, 2008. Proposals will tentatively be due on February 29, 2008. The solicitation is being issued in accordance to Federal Acquisition Regulations, Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. The solicitation will include the Service Contract Act Wage Determination for the serviced area. Multiple awards may result from this solicitation. The contract will be a Requirements Type Contract with task orders being issued on an as needed basis. The solicitation will contain a base period plus four option periods. The base period of performance is estimated to run from April 1 to October 31, 2008. The period of performance for option period 1 runs from approximately April 1 to October 31, 2009. The period of performance for option period 2 runs from approximately April 1 to October 31, 2010. The period of performance for option period 3 runs from approximately April 1 to October 31, 2011. The period of performance for option period 4 runs from approximately April 1 to October 31, 2012 In addition to using pricing as a determining factor, an evaluation of the contractor's related company experience, past performance and safety record will be considered and award(s) will be made to offeror(s) representing the best value to the Government. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561210. The Small Business Size Standard is $32.4 million. The specifications and drawings will not be posted to the internet; however a complete solicitation package is available in hard copy.
