- This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitues the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FDA-SOL-08-00497. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 443112: Radio/Television & Other Electronic Stores. Small Business Size Standard 500 Employees. The Food & Drug Administration is Soliciting the following: Training Room - 1900 sq. ft. Projection System - Multi-media audio/video presentation system -Ceiling mounted data/video projector -3000 ANSI lumen, true 16 x 9 aspect ratio, LCD video projector -58" x 104" in ceiling motorized screen -Video sources to include owner provided - laptop pc, video conferencing, satellite, and VCR/DVD which must be interfaced with the data/video projector. Audio System -Integrated rack mounted mixer/amplifier -Flush mounted speakers installed in the ceiling tiles - 8 each -Audio sources includes video sources above and audio cd's played in the VCR/DVD player and voice reinforcement for owner furnished wireless microphone System Control -32" wide floor standing lectern with an integrated gooseneck type of microphone - custom made covered in cherry wood veneer to coordinate with planned training room d?cor. -Lectern to include an intuitive wireless color touch panel and integrated control system to control all audio/video systems and the motorized screen Boardroom - 400 sq. ft. Projection System ? Multi-media audio/video presentation system -Ceiling mounted data/video projector -3000 ANSI lumen, true 16 x 9 aspect ratio, LCD video projector -94" diagonal interactive SMART Board ? wall mounted -Video sources to include owner provided - laptop pc, video conferencing, satellite, and VCR/DVD which must be interfaced with the data/video projector. -SMART Board to be integrated with an owner provided laptop pc which will allow users to interact with and annotate their presentations. Audio System -Integrated mixer/amplifier that this rack mounted in an owner provided credenza -Flush mounted speakers installed in the ceiling tiles ? 6 each -Audio sources includes video sources above and audio cd's played in the VCR/DVD player System control -Owner provided laptop pc to be connected via a recessed interface box installed within the owner provided conference table in the Boardroom -Owner provided VCR/DVD and satellite system to be located within the owner provided credenza in the Boardroom -An intuitive wireless color touch panel with an integrated control system to control all audio/video systems -INSTALLATION IS REQUIRED An official authorized to bind the offeror must sign the terms and conditions of the offer. Offerers that fail to furnish required representations and certifications or rejects the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. FOB Point Destination: FOB Point of Delivery for Services and Supplies will be the following: Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration Minneapolis District Office 250 Marquette Avenue, Suite 600 Minneapolis, MN 55401-2183 The clauses at FAS 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following additional FAR clauses cited in this clause are applicable: 52.219-6, 52.232-33 and 52.222-41. Clauses and provisions are incorporated be reference and apply to this acquisition. Clauses and provisions can be obtained at hhtp://www.acquisition.gov. CCR Requirements. Company must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award can be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR Website at hhtp://www.ccr.gov. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered. The quotation must reference solicitation #FDA-SOL-08-00497. THe Offers are due in person, by mail or fax on or before December 31,2007 by 14:00 hours (Eastern Standard Time in Philadelphia, PA) at the Food & Drug Administration, 200 Chestnut Street, Suite 900, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
