- Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston intends to issue a Sole- Source solicitation to Harris Corporation, for a 400 Watt High Frequency (HF) Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) Radio System, for the T-AKE 9. The R- 5800H is required as part of the shipboard ALE circuit to insure interoperability with deployed forces. Harris is the original designer and producer of this transceiver which is the only known HF radio that has embedded HF-ALE capability and JITC certified MIL-STD-188-110B, Appendix C. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated. Contract Award is estimated to be March 2008. Delivery is 180 days after date of contract. Numbered Note 22 applies.
