- Amendment issued to change from Total Small Business set aside to Unrestricted due to the nature of the required item. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ); solicitation number is H92244-08-T-0065, and a firm fixed price contract is contemplated. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is on or about 19 February 2008. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23 effective 26 Dec 2007. This procurement is Unrestricted and the associated NAICS code is 238990 with a business size standard of $13.0. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG) has a requirement to procure the following: Section B Schedule of Supplies and Services CLIN 0001 UL 752 Level 8 Standard Ballistic Glass window replacement with three panel glass/frame system. Qty ? 1 lot FOB Point: Destination Section C Statement of work Replace existing ballistic glass window with a three panel glass frame system. New panels should measure approximately 28? x 41? each. Frame should be made of AR500 steel or equivalent. Frame will be designed for easy replacement of individual panels using simple hand tools, no cutting, torching or welding should be required to change future panels. Frame should allow for up to ?? thick sacrificial Polycarbonate panel or equivalent to cover ballistic glass. Sacrificial panels will be coated with perforated plastic/vinyl or equivalent that is non-reflective on one side and see thru on the other side. Contractor must install sacificial panels as part of the whole system and must also supply two additional glass panels and 12 additional sacrificial panels for future repair and replacement. Contractor must provide a concept drawing and materials list for review and approval. Contractor must have experience in protective ballistic material fabrication. Required items must meet UL 752 Level 8 Ballistic Standards.
